Shizuoka Prefectural Arai High School Full-time/Part-time

Basic policy for club activities

1 Position and role of club activities at our school

Based on the positioning and expected role of extracurricular activities in the curriculum guidelines, our school also uses extracurricular activities to foster a sense of responsibility and solidarity, a fair and just attitude, independence and creativity, and rich sensibilities and a healthy and strong personality. We aim to develop human character and social skills, such as physical fitness, greetings and etiquette, and an attitude of striving toward goals. In addition, activities need to strike a balance between developing solid academic ability and healthy growth both mentally and physically, and do not place an excessive burden on the child.

2 Goals of club activities at our school

Based on the school motto, ``Devote yourself to your own path,'' and based on the life beliefs of ``independence,'' ``honesty,'' and ``effort,'' we encourage students to develop their independence and independence through activities that persistently challenge themselves toward their goals based on high aspirations. Develop your personality.

3 Club activities

(1) Goals and activity plans

Set goals for each club activity based on the school management plan, create an annual activity plan tailored to the goals, and post it on the website. In addition, activity plans are presented to students and parents at regular intervals, and activities are carried out systematically to achieve goals.

(2) Activity time

As a general rule, activities are limited to 3 hours on weekdays (school is completely dismissed at 8:00 pm), activities are limited to 4 hours on holidays, and activities are suspended during regular exam weeks. However, this does not apply immediately before competitions, tournaments, on-campus events, etc., or during practice games with other schools, etc., but care will be taken to ensure that the burden does not become excessive.

(3) Setting rest days

As a general rule, set at least two rest days per week. However, this does not apply immediately before competitions, tournaments, and off-campus events, and alternative days of rest will be set according to the characteristics of club activities. Even if it is not possible to set two days of rest a week for a long period of time due to the nature of club activities, at least 100 days of rest per year will be set.

4 Consideration for safety

We will respond to disasters, suspicious persons, heatstroke, etc. in accordance with the ``Crisis Management Manual'' so that students can work with peace of mind while staying mentally and physically healthy. Also, give due consideration to the safety of facilities and equipment.

5 Regarding collection of activity fees

Funds are basically paid by the beneficiaries, and if necessary, extracurricular activity fees can be collected with the consent of students and guardians. When collecting extracurricular activity fees, etc., the collection and accounting report must be made through the prescribed procedures.

6 Collaboration with extra-affiliated organizations

In cooperation with affiliated organizations such as the PTA and supporter's association, we will work proactively to provide support for the enrichment of club activities.

7 Evaluation

In addition to confirming achievements and issues at turning points in activities, we evaluate the overall activities based on the school's self-evaluation, and provide feedback for subsequent activities.
